First, he was a 4x Emmy Award-winning TV host in Canada and the United States. Then he was also a YouTube sensation, eclipsing over 87 million views on his channel. Now, Chris Van Vliet is a star podcaster on Blue Wire too. Chris's show, The Chris Van Vliet Show, interviews the biggest names in wrestling twice a week, telling the story of who they are outside of their wrestling persona. The interviews are laid back conversations as the wrestlers open up about their journey to the sport, challenges they've faced, and their future career goals. The podcast has been extremely successful, which is a testament to CVV's hard work, consistency, and passion for wrestling.

Chris started his career in TV and radio, mostly working as an entertainment reporter in places like Toronto, Vancouver, and Cleveland. In 2011, he decided to start a YouTube channel while he was still working in TV so that he could post the full length of his interviews that were getting cut down for the news. As an entrepreneur, Chris began to see the value of his YouTube channel as the content space shifted, so starting in 2018, he decided to pour more resources into it. Fast forward a year, and he saw that same opportunity with podcasting.

"I had a decent sized audience on YouTube, but I knew there was the potential for a huge audience that I wasn't tapping into with audio," CVV said. "My interviews are usually about an hour long, and that's insanely long pieces of content on YouTube. In the world of podcasting, that's just a normal episode. It's almost like the longer, the better. And the beautiful thing is, you can navigate away from it and multitask on your device, which the YouTube app doesn't allow."

Despite the podcast being just over a year old, it already gets 1,000s of downloads an episode and has accumulated more than 1,000 5-star reviews on Apple podcasts. Chris comes out with new interviews every single week, and his content is evergreen, making it very bingeable for his fans.

Chris joined Blue Wire shortly after his podcast launched back in June 2019, and he is one of our biggest success stories. Not only has he created great content, but his authenticity, hustle, and consistency also reflect the core values that Blue Wire tries to live up to in everything that the company does. Here is what CVV had to say about his experience at Blue Wire so far.

"Blue Wire has supported my show since day one, and I wouldn't have had the growth and success I've had without them. This is the future of podcasting, and Blue Wire is way ahead of the curve."

We are so excited to continue supporting CVV as he rises to the top of content creators in the wrestling space. His YouTube channel is still thriving, his podcast has taken off, and he is still doing excellent TV work around the sport too. The sky is the limit for him. What's the key to his success?

"It's about being memorable. Don't try to be some weird, crazy, zany guy. But be memorable because you ask great questions. Be memorable because you're a good listener. Be memorable because you do great research. That's when you're really going to take off."
