Blue Wire’s own Matthew Coller of the Purple Insider podcast and Hot Routez is releasing a book this October chronicling Neil Hornsby’s founding of Pro Football Focus, and how it’s completely changed the way we look at the sport.

The book, titled Football Is a Numbers Game: Pro Football Focus and How a Data-Driven Approach Shook Up the Sport, takes a deep dive into the history of PFF with unprecedented access of its storied history, from its humble origins to the major acquisition by Cris Collinsworth in 2014.

There’s no doubt that PFF's data and impact has permeated throughout the entire NFL, but Coller’s journalistic background and storytelling acumen are the biggest takeaways from Football Is a Numbers Game.
