For Whom The Taco Bell Tolls

We all know Shaquille O’Neal and Hakeem Olajuwan, but did you know they sparked a Taco Bell sponsored $1 million dollar 1-on-1 basketball tournament?  

Outside of the statistics of the two rivals, they also shared a Taco Bell sponsorship. While the tournament never ended up happening due to injury, the premise of watching two nearly 7-footers shoot “6 pointers,” a line far behind the three-point line by Taco Bell, as called by the likes of Chick Hearn and Bill Walton, was very riveting.
